On the third Saturday of each month, our Laundry Love Team meets at a local laundry mat to share the love of Jesus in a very tangible way, helping folks with their laundry. It is an opportunity to let people see the hands of Jesus at work. Thank you to all who participate in this awesome blessing!
Our Laundry Love team met on Saturday, July 16th, at the Bayshore Laundry to share the love of Jesus with its customers. There were six team members there, seventy dollars were donated and with that money they were able to help ten families with their laundry.
What a hands on, practical way to share the love of Jesus! Thank you Laundry Love Team! You Rock!
Five members of The Tree of Life gathered at Manor Care at Lely Palms on Saturday, July 16, 2011, to share the love of Jesus with the residents there. There was finger nail painting and clowns and balloon animals. A good time was had by all. If you would be interested in joining this ministry, they meet at the nursing home the third Saturday of each month at 3:30 pm.
On Saturday, June 19, several members of The Tree of Life church blessed the customers of a local laudromat by paying for their laundry to be washed and dried. Popping quarters into the machines was a simple way to share God’s love. Yes! $100 was donated to bless the community. Thank you all who donated funds and or participated in this simple act of kindness.
On the third Saturday of each month, members of The Tree of Life Church go to Manor Care at Lely Palms to paint fingernails and play cards with the residents. It is always such a blessing! Sharing God’s Love Through Simple Acts of Kindness!
On Saturday, May 28, 2011, several members of The Tree of Life Church met at Cambier Park to give water to the weary. This is a hands on way to share the love of Jesus to others. He is the Living Water … those who drink from him will never thirst! We got rained out, but not before we gave away about a hundred bottles of water.
On Thursday, May 19, 2011, The Tree of Life Church partnered with Harry Chapin Mobile Food Pantry to give away thousands of pounds of food. Many were blessed, both by the giving and the receiving of this event. Thank you to all the volunteers who made this day happen!
