I am giving you a promise now while the seed is still in the barn. You have not yet harvested your grain, and your grapevines, fig trees, pomegranates, and olive trees have not yet produced their crops. But from this day onward I will bless you. (Haggai 2:19)
I heard this scripture yesterday and I can’t get it out of my head. Before we even plant the seed, God is promising us a harvest. Does that mean we don’t have to do the work? No … we still have to prepare the soil, plant, weed, water and gather.
But His promise is that if we part, the blessings will come.
In a time of uncertainty, in a world full of discouragement, I am going to plant my seed and let God do the rest!
