Whirlwind of May – Part 2

On May 16th, Pastor Andrew gave a message on The UNSTOPPABLE WORD of God.

We were busy at the church preparing for Naples Ladies Night 3, an outreach for the women of the community that was held on May 21st.  A huge success … 125-130 ladies were blessed that evening.  We enjoyed food, fun, games, gifts, music by Renee and a message by Joyce.

On May 23rd, Pastor Andrew spoke on UNSTOPPABLE PRAISE.

On Sunday, May 30th, the message was What Stops You From Being UNSTOPPABLE?

We celebrated Memorial Day with a flag ceremony from the Scouts.  It was inspiring and touching.  And sweet!

Today is the last day of May.  How do I sum up what this month?  Not sure I can, but I’ll give it a try!

On May 2nd we began our UNSTOPPABLE Series with UNSTOPPABLE Presence.  We moved to our summer schedule of one service and cooked hotdogs after the service.

On May 6th, we celebrated National Day of Prayer.

Mother’s Day followed on the 9th with a message of UNSTOPPABLE LOVE by Joyce Schneider

On Wednesday, the 12th, we had a memorial service for Lonnie Craft who passed away on April 30, 2010.  We had a nice service, and then planted a tree in her honor.

On the 13th we hosted a concert with the Christian Reggae Group, CHRISTARI.  A good time was had by all!

May 14th we participated in a city wide Harry Chapin Food Giveaway.  Thousands of pounds of food were given away at The Tree!

May 15th found a group at Manor Care @ Lely Palms, sharing God’s love with the residents of the nursing home.

This is halfway through the month!  As you can see … a whirlwind!

Rick & Cindy Hollingsworth love Jesus.  It shows in every aspect of their life.  They have been in the  ministry since 1998, coming to The Tree in January of 2006.  Rick has served as Associate Pastor, Sound Technician, Life House Administrator and  leader of many Bible Studies.  Cindy has  been a member of the Praise Team,  taught  many study groups, as well as counseling at The Tree.  They have hearts to help hurting people … they love to serve Jesus!

 

As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
